ApeSwap was launched in 2021 by a team of over 15 pseudonymous members, including ApeGuru, ApeTastic, Harambe Nakamoto, DK, and Obie Dobo. The team, represented by avatars like Harambe and Donkey Kong, has been actively working on the project for nearly a year, demonstrating a commitment to its development.

ApeSwap operates on a dual-token model with BANANA and GNANA. BANANA is an inflationary token with a daily emission of 316,800, distributed to various purposes like yield farms, pools, and burning mechanisms.
